How to calculate epoxy for a bar top
For a flat rectangular bar top or tabletop, multiply length × width × wet coating depth. The calculator converts the result to litres and US gallons and then applies the waste percentage you choose.
Flood coat calculation
Flood-coat consumption is controlled mainly by surface area and wet thickness. One square metre at 1 mm thickness equals 1 litre of geometric volume. At 0.5 mm, the same square metre uses about 0.5 litre before practical losses.
Why the waste allowance matters
Resin left in mixing containers, drips over edges, uneven surfaces and self-leveling behavior all increase real consumption. A calculated volume should therefore be treated as the geometric starting point, not automatically as the exact amount to order.
Bar top epoxy versus river-table epoxy
